What is Pickture?


Pickture is a new social shopping community that was launched in November 2013. Pickture revolutionizes online shopping uniting all of the best aspects of online retailing - value for money, convenience, selection and peer recommendations.

You bookmark the things you find online, organize them into lists and then share your finds with friends and other users of Pickture. Our web extension shows you the best prices on your bookmarked products with direct links to the retailer’s website while you browse.

So pick the things you love, create your wish lists and inspire others!


How do I install the Pickture Button?


Once installed, a Button is added to your browser’s toolbar which allows you to add your favourite products to your Pickture profile. While you browse, the extension also shows all on-going promotions and discount codes for the products that interest you.

The Pickture Button is a free extension that is available for Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Once installed, the Button is added to your toolbar and enables users to add (“pick”) any product from around the web to their Pickture profile.


How do I add an item (pick) to my Pickture profile?


You have the opportunity to add (to pick) products in different ways to your Pickture account (profile):

1- Pickture members can either re-pick products from other users or pick products themselves directly from retailers’ websites thanks to the Button.

2- You also can add a product directly to your Pickture account by clicking on “Create a pick, a lookbook, a list”, which located in the upper left-hand corner of your pick wall, then “create a pick”.


How to pick products from a retailer’s website

To add products you love from any website, you need to have the Pickture Button installed.

To pick from the retailer’s website, the page must include the product’s price and the product must be in stock.

When you are on the product page of a merchant website: Click on the Pickture Button in the upper right-hand corner of your web browser and complete or verify the information on the product you wish to bookmark in the pop-up window that appears: title of the product, price, comment, category or list.

You can bookmark the product in an existing list or create a new list.

By default your list will be considered public. You may change the status of the list in your parameters.

Congratulations, you have added a pick to the list you selected on the Pickture website.


How to pick products on the Pickture website

1. Once you’ve spotted a product you love on the Pickture website, place your cursor on the image and select the list you wish to add the product to.

2. Click on Pick

3. The product will be automatically added to your profile.

You can also find products by searching for a specific category by clicking on Categories in the upper left corner of any Pickture page

To move a product you picked from a list to another list, click on the Edit icon in the top right hand corner of the image and modify your pick.


How to create a pick/product from Pickture?

To create a product or pick from Pickture, you have to go to your profile and click on “Create a pick, a lookbook, a list”, which is located in the upper left- hand corner of your pick wall.

1- Click on “Create a Pick”

2- Upload a picture for your pick in the allowed formats

3- Enter the information relating to the product you are creating:

- Title
- URL (web page where is located the product)
- Price and Currency
- Product’s brand
- List in which you want to place your product
- Category in which it belongs to
- Description

Congratulations, you have created your first pick!

To modify your pick, you just have to go to your profile and click on the icon “Edit” located in the upper right-hand of your pick. Then you could modify the pick’s information.


What is a list?

All items you pick are gathered into lists. On your profile page you can create a new list, change its privacy settings (public vs. private), modify its name or delete it.


How do I create and/or edit a list?

There are two ways to create a list.

1- Go to your profile and click on the lists tab. You can create a new list, name it as you want, add picks and then share with friends and family... and hopefully you'll receive exactly what you're looking for next time you get a gift!

2- Go to your profile and click on “Create a pick, a lookbook, a list”, which is located in the upper left- hand corner of your pick wall and then “Create a list”.

You can modify the name of the lists and its privacy settings by clicking on Edit on top right on your profile.


What is a lookbook?

A lookbook is a sort of catalogue, gathering different products linked together by a main visual. It can be for example, the outfit of your favourite star, or the future interior of your living room. A lookbook allows introducing several products together, no matter what their category or the situation is.


How do I create and/or edit a Lookbook?

To create your first lookbook, you have to go to your profile and click on “Create a pick, a lookbook, a list”, which is located in the upper left-hand corner of your pick wall and then “Create a Lookbook”.

1- Upload a cover picture for your lookbook.

2- Add picks to your Lookbook.

3- Select 12 picks maximum to your Lookbook.

4- Choose a title, a category, a list and write a description.

Congrats, you just have created your first Lookbook!

To modify your lookbook, you just have to go to your profile and click on “Edit” located on the upper right-hand. Then, you could modify the picks or the Lookbook’s information.

A lookbook is automatically set to private within the list it belongs to. If you want to change it, you have to move the lookbook to another list or change the privacy of the list in question.


What content can I pick?

With the Pickture Button you can pick any product available to purchase online with a picture and a price.


Where do the products that I pick with the Button go?

As you browse the web, if you click on the Pickture Button in your browser’s toolbar a window appears that displays the details of the pick that will be added to your profile. You must select a list to which the pick will be added. Don’t forget to check the status of your profile and the list (public or private). Once you’ve picked the product a link in the window will take you directly to the newly created on our site.


What should I do when the information listed in the Button is incorrect?

Before clicking on Pick to add the product to one of your lists, take a moment to verify the accuracy of the auto-completed details. We try our best to ensure that each pick is as accurate as possible, but from time to time we might need your help. To correct any fields simply select the text and replace with the correct details (e.g. title or price). Once you’ve made the required changes just click Pick.


What should I do if the image chosen by the Button is not the one I’d like to select?

If the image chosen by the Button is not the one you’d like to add to your profile it is possible to scroll through alternative options by clicking on one of the arrows next to the image. If no other options are available please refresh your page, click on the image that you’d like to select on the merchant website and then retry the Button. Your chosen image should now appear. If no images appear please try another website. Don’t hesitate to give us feedback on the Button. We’d love to hear from you.


What should I do if the Button does not detect a product in the web page?

To offer you the best possible user experience the Button uses JavaScript and cookies. If for any reason the Button does not detect a product to pick on the page that you are currently viewing pleased verify that you JavaScript and cookies are enabled for your browser. If that does still not work please feel free to contact us at contact@pickture.com.


What should I do if the Pickture Button does not open?

If the Button does not open when clicked, empty your browser’s cache and delete any cookies. If after carrying out these steps the Button does still not work, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@pickture.com.


How can I delete the Pickture Button from my navigation bar?

With Google Chrome: Right click on the Pickture Button and select Delete from Chrome. Then click on Yes to confirm deletion.

With Firefox: Click on the Firefox Button at the top of the browser window. Now click on Add-ons. From the Add-on Manager select Extensions. Select the Pickture Button and click on Disable. If requested restart your browser to complete the process.


How do I follow a brand/shop/trendsetter?


To follow a brand/shop/trendsetter, click on Follow under the logo on the profile page. Now you can stay updated with the new products that are added to the lists and all activity of the page. You will also receive exclusive deals from this page via the Pickture Button. You can find the profile page by typing the searched name in the Search bar.


How do I follow someone?


To follow one of Pickture's members, click on the "Follow" Button on his/her profile. Once you've followed him/her you will automatically be notified of all new products and lists he/she adds and creates.


How do I invite my friends to Pickture?

If you wish to invite your Facebook and Twitter friends, you just have to go to the “Invite my friends” page, accessible on the drop-down menu, found when you hover over your profile picture.


How can I receive special offers and deals?


In order to receive exclusive offers from our partners, follow your favourite brands on Pickture. You will then gain access to their latest offers, promotions and private sales. By installing the Pickture Button you can also access the deals and promotions automatically as you browse the web, helping you shop at the best possible price.


How do I change my profile settings?


Firstly, make sure you are connected to your Pickture profile at www.pickture.com. If you have trouble connecting or forgot your log-in details, please contact our support team at contact@pickture.com

Click on the white arrow next to your profile image at the black website header on the top of any Pickture page, and then select Settings from the drop down menu to edit your profile settings..


I forgot my login details, what do I do?


On the login page, you have the option of clicking on “Forgot your password?” Enter the email address you have indicated during registration and you will receive a new password by email. You can then use this new password to log-in to your account and modify your password in your Profile Settings.
